Ecotourism in the Leningrad region

Sometimes you get so tired of the hustle and bustle of the metropolis that you want to hide somewhere in a secluded secluded place where there is no telephone and Internet, and the silence is broken only by the fascinating singing of birds. Outdoor recreation is a great way to get rid of depression, to understand your thoughts and at least for a while to escape from the crazy pace of city life.

Fabulously lucky residents of the Northern capital of Russia, because to arrange a holiday in nature they do not even have to go far: the Leningrad region — a great place for ecotourism.

Ecotourism in the Leningrad region
Leningrad region is famous for its picturesque nature: this area is cut numerous rivers and thousands of lakes, around which grow pine and spruce forests. The healing air of these fabulous forests is simply intoxicating, and the beauty of nature enchants. It is not surprising that there are so many health resorts, sanatoriums and tourist centers in the Leningrad region.

Resting in the Leningrad region, you can find many amazingly beautiful natural places with the same fabulously beautiful names, for example, Birch Islands.

Outdoor recreation in the Leningrad region can be quite diverse:

– you can go camping with tents, or just have a walk through the woods light;
– in the forest, you can collect mushrooms or berries (in your basket may be raspberries, blueberries, cranberries);
– in winter you can go skiing or dog sledding;
– you can fish on rivers and lakes (among your catch may be carp, smelt, bream, tench, perch, herring, whitefish, walleye and many other species of fish);
– and it’s nice to gather a big company of friends with a guitar around a campfire on the shore of a lake or river!
